Lynn is currently accepting applications for the position of Compliance Specialist and Title IX Investigator.

This position is an integral part of the Office of Compliance with responsibility for providing the leadership, direction, oversight, and guidance of the Compliance and Ethics Program and conducting investigations of potential violations of University policy. The Compliance Specialist and Investigator, under the supervision of the University Compliance Officer, demonstrates and applies subject matter knowledge to promote a culture of compliance and the identification, escalation and timely mitigation of compliance risks. Additionally, the Compliance Specialist is responsible for conducting investigations of compliance violations and complaints raised under the Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct Policy and the Discrimination and Harassment Policy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to serving as the primary investigator within the Office of Compliance, responsibilities include assisting in developing compliance related policies and procedures; asssiting with the development of training materials and providing training; assisting with the preparation of meeting materials; assisting with case management and documentation; assisting with implementation of key elements of the compliance and risk management program; conducting research on regulatory matters and compliance areas. Perform other compliance and administrative functions to support the work of the Office of Compliance as assigned by the University Compliance Officer.

Supporting the Office of Compliance and Compliance Partners through maintaining and executing one or more of the following:

  • Risk Assessments
  • Management of the Compliance Matrix, including regulatory inventory and regulatory change management
  • Design, Management, and Implementation of Annual Self-Assessment Process
  • Management of Compliance Plus Training Initiative, including online and in-person trainings
  • Administrative Management of Policy and Procedure Program
  • Conducting reporting and analytics to provide compliance related data to relevant committees and University stakeholders
  • Conducting investigations of complaints raised under official university grievance policies and procedures: Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct Policy, Discrimination and Harassment Policy, and other grievance policies by assignment

Skills and Abilities

Excellent and High Level research and writing skills; Proven ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders; Stong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with teammates across functional and organizational boundaries; Strong oral and written communication skills; Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and demands in a fast-paced environment; Must be highly motivated, proactive, and a self-starter.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
  • Two years' experience required
  • While no specific licenses are required, the following are preferred: CCEP, Title IX Investigator Certification, Civil Rights Investigator Certification
