Lynn is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of the Center for Learning Abroad. This position is responsible for providing leadership in international education at Lynn University and for administering all study abroad programs including semester, short-term, faculty-led and affiliate programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Center for Learning Abroad professional staff
  • Advise students on study abroad options, policies and procedures
  • Arrange information sessions and study abroad fairs
  • Conduct pre-departure and re-entry meetings
  • Develop and track student interest in programs
  • Maintain and develop promotional materials and website content
  • Manage the Lynn University application and enrollment process
  • Respond to all student, parent and faculty inquiries in a timely manner
  • Coordinate logistics locally and abroad
  • Implement office policies in conjunction with university administration
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party program providers and exchange institutions
  • Manage the proposal, development and implementation of outgoing faculty-led programs
  • Serve on various institutional committees related to international education
  • Oversee risk and crisis management for all Lynn affiliated study abroad opportunities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Center and Lynn faculty, staff and administration
  • Represent the university at international and national associations and conferences
  • Manage and oversee departmental budget

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree (M.A.) 
  • 5 or more years of experience working in international education with at least one year experience working and/or living abroad

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in study abroad promotion, integration and assessment
  • Experience working with faculty administration, students, parents and international program staff at universities in the U.S. and abroad
  • Competency in a second language is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once and demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of best practices in study abroad
