Lynn is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Compliance Officer. The Assistant Compliance Officer will assist the University in the continued growth and development of the University's Compliance and Ethics Program. The Assistant Compliance Officer reports to the University Compliance Officer. The Assistant Compliance Officer demonstrates and applies subject matter knowledge to promote a culture of compliance and the identification, escalation, and timely mitigation of compliance tasks and risk management steps.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Manages projects in support of the Office of Compliance's core functions: Ethics, Reporting and Investigations, Title IX, Policy and Procedure Management, Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, staff training, and Athletic Compliance and will design, coordinate, and manage projects with various departments and administrators across campus.

-Serve as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator and as a key member of the University's Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct prevention and response team.

-Assist with design, implementation, and management of an internal monitoring and self-evaluation system for compliance and risk management.

-Ensure the organization and maintenance of complaint files, reports, and other compiled records regarding University compliance, risk management, and grievance procedures.

-Assist the University Compliance Officer and the Office of Compliance with the following as needed:

  • Gather and analyze data pertaining to compliance areas and recommend changes as needed
  • Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
  • Serve as a liaison, for compliance purposes, between internal and external constituents

-Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the University as well as evolving best practices in compliance and risk management.

-Assisting with compliance and certification requests; managing and monitoring deadlines, renewals, and related activities on a continuing basis.

-Management and organization of software, databases, and digital systems maintained and utilized by the Office of Compliance.

-Maintenance of dashboards, data, and records management.

Minimum Qualifications

-Masters Degree in pertinent area plus 2 years of experience administering organization compliance efforts OR Bachelors Degree plus 4 years of experience administering organization compliance efforts.

-Experience working within higher education is strongly preferred but not required.

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations

The following certifications, designations, or training, are highly preferred:

-Project Manager degree/training/certificate; Title IX/VAWA Training or certification Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP); Certified Risk Manager (CRM); Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

-Strong written, verbal and computer skills.

-Ability to lead by example, adhering to high standards of integrity and ethics in all aspects of the work performed on behalf of the institution.

-Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to accomplish goals within established timelines.
