Lynn University, a NCAA Division II member and a member of the Sunshine State Conference is currently accepting applications for the position of Director for Athletics Compliance. The Director for Athletics Compliance serves as a member of the compliance team that is responsible for ensuring that Lynn's 19 varsity sports programs, athletics department staff, and individuals and groups representing the university's athletic program comply with all institutional, Sunshine State Conference, and NCAA regulations. This position supports monitoring efforts in the areas of countable athletically related (CARA), the Intuitional Recruiting Lists (IRL) on the NCAA Eligibility Center, NCAA rules education, and serves as the compliance contact for selected sports programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance with the institution's overall athletic compliance program consistent with all institution, Sunshine State Conference and NCAA regulations.
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance with monitoring compliance with NCAA recruiting and CARA legislation.
  • Assists with the management of all NCAA Applications including but not limited to Eligibility Center, Compliance Assistant Internet, NLI Portal, and Compliance Forms Portal.
  • Serve at the primary contact for assigned sports programs as it relates to oversight of all recruiting activities.
  • Responsible for tracking initial eligibility status of all incoming student-athletes of assigned sports programs and communicating with coaches to ensure proper certification.
  • Assists with the processing of transfer releases, transfer tracers, and NLI releases for student-athletes in assigned sports programs.
  • Assists with the maintenance of the university's compliance software, Front Rush.
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of a comprehensive rules education program for student-athletes.
  • Assists with all compliance education for athletics department staff and required institution staff.
  • Assist in providing oversight of compliance graduate assistant.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree required. 
  • At least two years of experience, as it relates to the position, in NCAA compliance or academics with demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of NCAA regulations
  • Must possess the personal attributes of innovation, adaptability and effective communication with coaches and university administration.
